With the France-focused, Vancouver International Wine Festival kicking-off at the end of the month, the team behind Vancouver Urban Winery’s popular Sunday School wine seminar series are announcing their February 16th prep-class: #302 – France vs. the New World.

Hosted by Sommeliers David Stansfield and Lisa Cook, guests to the February 16th Sunday School class can expect to have their palate honed and mind armed with enough knowledge to cruise the International Festival Tasting room with swagger. Expect flights of wine, served blind alongside tips and tricks on reading labels and understanding aromas and flavors. Perfect for novices and enthusiasts alike.

ABOUT DAVID STANSFIELD AND LISA COOK

David Stansfield and Lisa Cook are both experienced wine professionals. Stansfield works as the in-house Sommelier for Vancouver Urban Winery, the Corporate Sommelier for the Daniel Hospitality Group which includes the Tap & Barrel restaurants, and as a consultant for Bestie, Cuchillo, and Chicha.Cook is the Cellar Manager for the award-winning Joeys Wineroom. The accomplished pair shares a penchant for fun, obscure wines resulting in classes that are ideal for wine lovers of all levels.
