The Wine Shop was renovated in 2013, giving guests a more inviting space to taste our wines. The renovations also allowed additional patio space for the Sonora Room Restaurant, which overlooks the vineyards.
Burrowing Owl Estate Winery is pleased to welcome Lynn Coulthard to the Sonora Room team as Restaurant Manager. Lynn has worked in the hospitality and wine industry for over 30 years and has a wide range of experience: in the past she has managed Boathouse locations, worked in food and beverage management with Vancouver’s Four Seasons Hotel, and was Wine Director/Manager at both Cin Cin and West Restaurant. She holds a Sommelier degree and WSET Diploma of Wine, and spent over seven years in management with Liberty Wine Merchants. She has been the lead WSET instructor for Fine Vintage Ltd and currently oversees UBC’s wine programs at UBC in Vancouver. Lynn is thrilled to return to the restaurant industry at the Sonora Room. In her spare time she is pursuing her Master of Wine studies and can often be found hiking with her dog, Sookie.
