City Lights Meets Country Nights – Friday October 10th

 

Leading Chefs Jeff Van Geest and Angus An cook together for one night only at Miradoro Restaurant at Tinhorn Creek

 

Miradoro at Tinhorn Creek, British Columbia’s premier winery restaurant, is excited to announce a collaboration between two of Canada’s leading culinary talents. Award-winning Chef Angus An from Vancouver’s Maenam (Best Thai, Vancouver magazine) and Miradoro’s own Chef Jeff Van Geest (Best Winery Dining, Vancouver magazine) will join forces on Friday October 10 to present a multi-course dining experience paired with exceptional Tinhorn Creek wines.

With a focus on locally farmed and foraged ingredients, Chef Jeff Van Geest’s wine country cuisine is honest, local, bold and as fresh as can be. He grows his own herbs and vegetables on the property and is inspired daily by the bounty of the farms and fields surrounding his rural restaurant. Guest Chef Angus An has toiled in Michelin starred kitchens in London and New York, including London’s first Michelin starred Thai restaurant, Nahm, and is known for dishes that show intense bright flavours, while also demonstrating his classically grounded technique.

“We’ve worked hard to create a menu that will take diners on a journey of the senses; balancing flavours and courses, building up to the more exotic notes of the main course,” said Chef Jeff Van Geest. “I’ve admired Chef An’s cooking for many years and am thrilled to have the opportunity to cook with him at Miradoro and to showcase Tinhorn Creek Wines through the nuances of our dishes.”

City Lights Meet Country Nights, will be held on Friday October 10 at 6.30pm and will bring unique Thai flavours to the Okanagan for one night only, paired with fine wines from Tinhorn Creek, including the premier Oldfield Series wines. This one-of-a-kind dining experience is sure to excite the taste buds and limited seating is still available.
