Get some jingle in your holiday season! The holiday spirit is returning to Highstreet, starting with a family-friendly, kid-crazy Holiday Show on Saturday, November 22 at 5PM. One of the largest Christmas trees in Canada, Highstreet’s tree rivals that of New York City’s iconic Rockefeller Center. The Official Tree Lighting will be preceded by an eight-minute animated light show, utilizing 6,000 individually controlled tri-colour LED nodes, six snow-making machines and plenty of cheer. The tree light and snow portion of the show will continue to run daily at 5PM and 7PM, from November 23 to December 24 inclusive.

According to Markus Griesser, General Manager of Highstreet, the Holiday Show promises to bring the magic of the season alive.

“We’re thrilled to once again raise the bar for holiday merriment with an evening of celebration, performances and entertainment unlike any other in the region,” said Griesser. “Ever since we opened our doors one year ago, the goal has been to provide a truly world-class experience. The Holiday Show brings that sentiment into the Christmas season, while thanking our guests for their loyalty.”

Highlighted by appearances from the MEI Screaming Eagles, much-loved personalities Spandy Andy and Lindsey Long Legs, local favourite Project Dance, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Frosty the Snowman, the Holiday Show marks the first of five Outdoor Holiday Shows at Highstreet, happening in the Central Plaza every Saturday at 5PM until December 20.

Future scheduled live entertainment includes:

•December 7: Abbotsford Concert Band

•December 14: Bobs and Lolo

•December 21: The West Coast Fiddlers

Holiday hours begin at Highstreet on Saturday, November 22, with shops open from 10AM-9PM Monday through Saturday and 10AM-7PM on Sundays. For more details and the full calendar of holiday programming at Highstreet, please visit www.highstreetfv.com
