Samantha Syrah Gives Back

When Samantha Rahn was named Sommelier of the Year, the honour came with a rare opportunity. Samantha got to make a wine that carries her own name. Like any great wine this lovely Syrah is the sum total of the palate and knowledge of Samantha, the talented team at Okanagan Crush Pad and the deft hand of winemaker Michael Bartier. What do you get dear wine lover? A beautiful, medium bodied glass of Okanagan sunshine. From the first aroma wafting from the glass to the long, lingering finish this is a superb example of B.C. winemaking at its best. I loved the intense red berry flavours and the touch of pepper. Syrah as it was meant to be….subtle and just waiting to be paired with prime rib roast. What’s equally impressive is that Samantha Syrah helps the B.C. Hospitality Foundation. Proceeds from the sale of the wine provides support to those in the hospitality industry facing a serious health problem. Talk about giving back. Kudos to Okanagan Crush Pad for taking the lead on more than terrific wine making.
