Blueprint Expands Colony Bar to New Main Street Location

Neighbourhood bar will offer welcoming, comfortable vibe for Main
Street locals

Blueprint is proud to announce the opening of the company’s second
Colony Bar, at 2904 Main Street. Expanding off the beloved Kitsilano
location, Colony Main Street will open its doors with the same loyalty
to giving Main Street locals a true neighbourhood spot to call their
own.

Located within the Mount Pleasant area, Colony Main Street holds the
vision to be the mainstay watering hole for the neighbourhood, offering
an addictive food menu, sports-viewing, comedy, trivia, live music and a
well-stocked bar – including a progressive craft beer program. With 130
seats, the bar offers enough room for friends and neighbours alike.

“We’ve seen Colony become well-reputed as a welcoming, carefree
place to kick back and relax with friends any day of the week, so in
looking to open a new bar it was a concept we wanted to continue to
grow,” Bill Keriasotis of Blueprint shares.

“Main Street seemed like a natural place for us to look. It’s an up
and coming, yet community-minded area, and Colony Bar is all about
fostering those tight-knit, laid back connections. We’re excited to
welcome everyone and get to know our new neighbours.”

True to its form, the 2,000 square foot space at Colony Main Street
focuses on raw undertones and takes on an unfinished look, lending to
its casual charm. Design elements include cinderblock walls, an original
wood beam exposed ceiling, an iron bar and tables and leather finished
furniture.

With the new location rooted in Mount Pleasant, which has become known
for its growth in craft breweries, Colony Main Street will support the
demand providing guests and locals with a fully stocked bar showcasing
eighteen beers on rotating taps and daily $4.00-dollar beers. The craft
beer program focuses on local B.C. brewers and carefully selected brands
from abroad. Additionally, Colony’s full menu of delicious favourites
– including the popular crispy chicken sandwich and BBQ onion ring
burger – will ensure guests are well-fed at any time of the day.

Just like entertaining at home, Colony believes music is essential to
any good gathering and will provide its guests with an endless playlist
of tunes, from current indie faves to classic rock and hip hop. The
venue will also host weekly trivia nights and local live musicians.

Open seven days weekly, from 11:30am – 2am Colony is hoping the
neighbourhood will join them in good company.
