About Jean-Marc Enixon  – New Winemaker of Osoyoos Larose – February 24th 2016

osoyoos larose jean marcA native of Bordeaux, Jean Marc Enixon was born in the heart of the wine world. From a young age, he wandered in the vineyard with his father where he realized the importance of the « savoir-faire », the terroir, and the grapes quality to make high quality wine. Passionate for winemaking and its alchemy, he received his Master’s in Viticulture and Enology, from Bordeaux University. Jean Marc has produced wines in various wine regions, including France and California. In 2004, it was only natural that he took on the responsibility of managing the family estate « Château Puy Guilhem ». The wine produced there is known as one of the best in the region and is renowned for its great respect for local terroir expression.

During a wine tasting organized by Groupe Taillan, Jean Marc Enixon was impressed by the quality and the potential of Osoyoos Larose wines. The richness and the complexity stimulated his curiosity. After his first collaboration with Groupe Taillan on the production of high quality wines from Bordeaux, Jean-Marc seized the opportunity to become the new winemaker of this magnificent Canadian estate, Osoyoos Larose.

Jean-Marc Enixon and the French winemaking team from Groupe Taillan, will continue the Osoyoos Larose story. Together, thanks to the high potential of the south Okanagan terroir and the recognized, “savoir-faire” of the team, they will continue to build on the wine’s reputation as a world-class Cru and Canadian icon.
