The 24th Annual SiWC Writers’ Contest in BACK!

Ladies and gentlemen…start your pencils! The 24th annual Surrey International Writers’ Conference Writing Contest is now underway.

Writers’ Contest

This year, this annual, local, and beloved contest is focused on short fiction with a Storyteller’s Award. Why should you enter? Maybe because first prize is $1000, publication, and more!

The contest deadline is Friday, September 23, 2016 at midnight. Writers do not need to attend the conference to enter the contest, but it’s highly recommended, because the conference is amazing. Check out all the details about the contest at www.siwc.ca/writingcontest, and if you have any questions, please contact [email protected] for more information.

Writers’ Conference

Curious about the conference, now? You should be!

Registration for the 24th annual Surrey International Writers’ Conference begins in June (official date TBA), and the professional development that is cultivated during the weekend-long event is stellar, and completely unique.

The conference (the largest of its kind on the west coast) will once again be held at the Sheraton Guildford Hotel in Surrey, British Columbia, from October 20-23, 2016. Authors, editors, publishers, agents – all the important characters on the literary scene will be there for a top-of-the-line professional development conference.

As always, early registration is suggested, as last year’s conference sold out! For more information check the website at www.siwc.ca.
