OPUS Hotel Vancouver launches Perfect Day itineraries

Secrets of the city unveiled by five OPUS muses

Insider travel tips are the best way to make the most of a city getaway and at OPUS Hotel Vancouver there are five muses waiting to show guests the best places to eat, drink, shop and visit in Vancouver.

“Our OPUS muses originally inspired our room décor and now they have inspired our new Perfect Day itineraries,” says Nicholas Gandossi, OPUS Hotel Vancouver’s General Manager. “These self-guided maps offer a fun way for guests to discover hidden gems and secret hotspots around the city.”

Reflecting the fun and playful vibe at OPUS, each muse has inspired a self-guided city tour that guests can pick up from the front desk or read on their in-room iPad. Room décor has been inspired by LA-based actress Dede (daring and dramatic), New Yorker doctor Mike (warm and flamboyant), fashion exec Susan (and her pampered pooch), Parisian food critic Pierre (bright and breezy Hermes orange) and bad-boy rocker Billy from London (Liverpool green).

Guests can choose a muse map and itinerary that most appeals to their interests. Trend junkies can follow Dede’s suggestions to check out new hotspots such as fitness studio/café TurF and BRUNETTE The Label (guests can also check out the cheeky branded water bottles in the local mini bars). Mike’s itinerary takes in nearby Granville Island and the hotel’s neighbourhood of Yaletown, including a facial at the local Skoah spa and a trip to Granville Island Brewing.

Susan’s suggestions focus on shopportunities in Yaletown, including Barking Babies boutique for four-legged friends, and Pierre’s map takes guests up to Main Street to explore the trendy stores before enjoying some of the city’s newest foodie destinations and a ride around the seawall on OPUS’ complimentary cruiser bikes. Billy’s itinerary makes the most of Yaletown’s foodie scene and the hotel’s location in the heart of the neighbourhood, including a guided tour and tasting at Strathcona Beer Company.

Guests can pre-plan trips by downloading the maps before arrival or can use in-room complementary iPads to access them. OPUS’s concierges can also print out a hard copy for any guests on a digital detox during their stay. By this summer, the Yaletown heritage district will be fully serviced with complimentary street wi-fi #YaletownFree, allowing visitors to share their OPUS Hotel adventures online so friends and family back home never miss a beat.
