Mirabel Vineyards Releases Debut Chardonnay

The much-anticipated Mirabel Chardonnay makes its debut entrance just in time for fall

Kelowna’s Mirabel Vineyards is proud to announce the release of its first-ever Chardonnay ($40.00 SRP), made from whole bunch pressed Naramata Chardonnay grapes. Restaurants can pre-order this wine through the order desk via email or phone 250.494.4445 ext 2.

The grapes were hand-harvested on October 26, 2016. Full malolactic fermentation took place with 11 months lees ageing. A minimal intervention approach to this wine allows the fruit to shine and dictate the end flavour profile. Little handling means this wine was not stabilized, therefore harmless tartrates, or “wine diamonds” are possible.

With only 185 cases produced, this Chardonnay joins Mirabel Vineyards’ highly-acclaimed 2015 Pinot Noir (237 cases produced) and its 2016 saignée-method Rosé of Pinot Noir (100 cases produced). Its Pinot Noir had critics talking, with John Schreiner giving this wine a monstrous score of 95 points and also named one of 10 Wines That Tell The Future: Visionaries From The Okanagan Valley in Forbes Magazine.
