After a bustling summer season, the team at Kitsilano’s popular AnnaLena restaurant gears up for entertaining during the festive holiday season. New this year is a family-style holiday tasting menu, restaurant buy-outs, private catering  and a sparkly New Year’s Eve tasting menu.

For those looking to share the AnnaLena experience for this year’s corporate holiday party, buy-outs are perfect for larger groups with a capacity of 70 guests for a cocktail style reception or 50 seated guests. New Year’s Eve 2017

Celebrate the end of another great year with a night at AnnaLena! This year the team will be offering a set $94 tasting menu for the whole night. For bookings, please contact the restaurant directly. Reservations are now available.

Gift Certificates

What is better for that last minute Christmas treat than a gift certificate for an AnnaLena dinner experience? Gift certificates are available in any denomination and can be ordered online and delivered or picked up at the restaurant.

Bar Manager Kevin Brownlee Sets Course in a New Direction

As the seasons change so has AnnaLena’s front of house management team. After an extended leave, which included some time overseas, AnnaLena’s opening Bar Manager Kevin Brownlee has decided to take the next step in his career and take a break from the bar. Here are some words from Mr. Brownlee:

“A life of adventure, exploring my curiosities and fulfilling an inherent need for discovery has taken me to many wondrous places in this big beautiful world.
I will always seek the opportunity to mature and learn from the people around me, knowing very well that with passion and hard work, some compromise and a willingness to shoot big for the goals I set, amazing rewards will inevitably be received.

With this, I am excited to announce that I have accepted the role as Bacardi’s Portfolio Ambassador for BC. A new set of responsibilities and a commitment to the craft I love can only bring great things for the people I work with and I look forward to the challenges ahead.Huge thanks to my boys Jeff Parr and Michael Robbins for giving me the opportunity and platform to create success together as the Bar Manager at AnnaLena. You both bring so much creativity and dedication, patience to the game and I’m grateful that you both recognized my potential, because we accomplished so much in our time together. Thank you.

And to all those along the way who’ve lent an ear, shared their wisdom, given me any advice, sat down at that bar, you know that each moment has been spent genuinely in our time together.My trade is bartender. My passion is people.”

Same Day Reservations at Vancouver’s TOP Restaurants

 

Vancouverites love to wait until the last minute to make a booking and finding a good seat at some of the best rooms in town can prove to be a little tricky. Luckily a team of restaurant pros from Montreal have come up with a solution that solves a number of problems for both sides.

 

Kyle Nares of Garde Manger, Le Bremner, Montreal was sick and tired of the number of guests that would “no-show” for the reservation they’d made that evening. Being in a low foot traffic part of town the bookings would quickly expire as it was difficult to get them filled in such short notice. In pursuit of a solution he created a brand new app, DINR.

 

DINR lets restaurants post tables that are available for TONIGHT only! Whenever a last minute spot opens up, DINR will send a notification that the table has become available and guests can grab it right away via the app itself.  It also allows the restaurant to have a bit more flexibility on seating times and specific tables. We love having the opportunity to put some bar seats on there to get snatched up too.
