LIQUIDITY WINES LAUNCHES CANADA’S FIRST WINE TASTING CLUB

Equity Tasting Club invites wine lovers to try before they buy

We’ve all been there: hopelessly browsing shelves at the local liquor store, unsure which Pinot Noir will pair best with tonight’s BBQ Salmon, or whether any of the Chardonnays will be buttery enough for our picky mother-in-law. Now, thanks to Liquidity Wines, you can dispense with the uncertainty once and for all. The winery’s newly launched Equity Tasting Club encourages customers to sample award-winning wines before committing to a bottle – and all in the privacy and comfort of their own home.

The premise of the Equity Tasting Club – the first of its kind in Canada – is straightforward. Each member receives vineyard-to-door shipment of three Liquidity wines twice per year, each packaged in 200ml mini bottles. Once consumers have selected their favourites, they may choose which wines they would like to add to their 18-bottle annual club commitment to be delivered to their home (free shipping included with membership). Members also receive access to special library releases each year, as well as detailed winemakers’ notes. As a bonus, members who share their tasting experience on Instagram or Facebook, using the hashtag #TasteLiquidity will be automatically entered to win a Liquidity Photo Ark Gift Pack, which includes two bottles of Equity wine and a National Geographic coffee table book. Limited membership space is available; those interested are asked to contact Wine Club Coordinator Stephen Judge, at wineclub@nullliquiditywines.com or call 778-

515-5500 x 3.
The first three wines to be featured in the Equity Tasting Club are a preview of Liquidity’s premier 2018 releases.
The 2016 Chardonnay Estate features tropical aromas of pineapple, guava, lemon rind and vanilla, and is creamy on the palate with flavours of peach, Asian pear, pineapple and subtle spice. The wine pairs perfectly with rich pasta dishes, poached sole with mango chutney, or a big bowl of buttered popcorn and your favourite rainy-day film.
The 2016 Chardonnay Reserve has layered aromas of toasted almond, peach and allspice with balanced flavours of lime zest, lemon curd, pineapple and an intense minerality leading to a long finish. Perfect pairings include roasted chicken, risotto with butter-basted scallops, or a cheese fondue beside a roaring fire.
Finally, the 2016 Pinot Noir Estate is an approachable red wine with aromas of cherry, raspberry and Earl Grey tea, and flavours of cherry, redcurrant and spice with savoury notes and a silky finish. The wine is complex enough to be enjoyed on its own but pairs well with roasted duck breast, mushroom dishes or pink peppercorn steak.
Liquidity’s wine is crafted by winemaker Alison Moyes, a certified sommelier with a degree in Oenology and Viticulture and several years spent deep in the vineyards of the Okanagan. Alison’s talents are reflected by Liquidity’s multiple awards – this season alone, the vineyard scooped up bronze and silver medals for the 2015 Chardonnay Estate and 2015 Pinot Noir Estate, respectively, in the 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards; and silver and bronze medals for the 2015 Chardonnay Estate and 2015 Pinot Noir Estate, respectively, in the 2017 International Wine & Spirit Competition.
