BC Distilled gears up for Canada’s largest artisan and micro-distillery festival, April 14

Fifth annual event features 40 BC distilleries, tasty treats and cuddly puppies

The fifth annual BC Distilled Festival, the largest spirits event in Canada reserved exclusively for local distilleries, takes place at the Croatian Cultural Centre on Saturday, April 14.

Enthusiasts know BC Distilled as the chance to mix with friends old and new while mingling with the makers of the province’s best liquors, tasting a wide variety of the spirits they’re pouring. The opportunity to cuddle puppies from the Pacific Assistance Dog Society (PADS), the festival’s charity partner, is also unmissable.

Not everyone realizes, however, that there’s more to the whole affair than Saturday’s celebration.

“Like the BC distillery scene in general, our festival is booming,” says BC Distilled founder, Alex Hamer. “I’m happy to report that our Distillers’ Dinner at Forage on April 6 and our BC whisky master class at Legacy Liquor on April 10, both sold out in record time! But the good news is that there are still tickets available for Saturday’s main tasting event, which is going to be a spectacularly good time.”
