Eat, Drink and Be Pride-ful — at The Westin Bayshore Vancouver

H2 Rotisserie & Bar and H Tasting Lounge present Pride-themed bites and sips, exclusively for summer’s most fabulous weekend

The Westin Bayshore’s H2 Rotisserie & Bar and H Tasting Lounge toast to inclusivity during Vancouver’s 40th annual Pride celebration.

From Thursday, August 2, to Monday, August 6, savour a selection of vibrant, on-season à la carte share plates and cocktails — all of them created especially for Pride – at Vancouver’s urban resort. Coal Harbour’s serene setting can be enjoyed indoors from the comfort of an air-conditioned modern dining room, or outdoors from H2 Rotisserie & Bar’s garden-side terrace overlooking the Burrard Inlet and North Shore Mountains.

H2 Rotisserie & Bar:
In addition to its regular menu of upscale comfort food, H2 Rotisserie & Bar offers these special Pride-themed plates, perfect for family-style sharing:

Ru-Prawn’s Drag Race Cocktail
Prawn cocktail with apricot-habanero cocktail sauce ($12)

‘Herb Your Enthusiasm’ Sundried-Tomato Bread
Artisanal herb and sundried-tomato bread with caramelized onion butter ($9)

Wasa-bae Ginger Crab Salad
Pickled watermelon with wasabi-ginger crab salad, cucumber ribbons and watercress ($16)

‘Vitamin Sea’ Seared Scallops
Seared scallops with yam purée, grilled chorizo, smoked-tomato chutney, puffed organic wild rice, grilled asparagus ($28)

‘If You Can’t Love Yourself…’ Vanilla and White-Chocolate Rainbow Cake
Layered and topped with decadent vanilla icing ($15 per slice)

Additionally, from Friday, July 27, until summer’s end (Thursday, September 27, to be exact), H2 will serve adult slushies out on the pool deck, available to hotel guests as well as locals who have taken advantage of the H2Oasis pool program. These boozy delights ($13) feature daily rotating fruit flavours. H2 will also launch a series of share-style cocktails on the garden-side terrace, including a Bourbon Pink Lemonade cocktail ($36), served in a fishbowl and perfect for four friends to share. This delectable summer sip boasts six ounces of alcohol — craft bourbon, cherry liqueur and apricot brandy — plus grapefruit and lemon juices, vanilla syrup, fresh blueberries, and grapefruit segments.

H Tasting Lounge:

H Tasting Lounge is proud to present the launch of the True Lies cocktail. Crafted by bartender Chiara Fung, this clever concoction earned Chiara the top prize at the Vancouver edition of the Stoli Key West Cocktail Classic, and features Stolichnaya Premium Vodka, fresh lemon juice, charred-pineapple cordial, pineapple jam, and subtle notes of star anise. The name of Chiara’s creation was inspired by Key West and its reputation as a safe haven for those who may not be able to live an authentic life in their hometown; and pineapple was chosen as a key ingredient for its reputation as “the international symbol for hospitality.” The True Lies cocktail will be available in both H2 Rotisserie & Bar (from August 2-6) and H Tasting Lounge (permanently from July 27) for $15, with partial proceeds going to the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.
