Acclaimed chocolatier Thomas Haas has captured the flavours of fall with his latest seasonal collection of handmade chocolates and pastries celebrating Thanksgiving, Halloween and the ‘Movember’ men’s health movement available for a limited time exclusively at Thomas Haas Chocolates and Pâtisserie.

THANKSGIVING

 

Thomas Haas has handcrafted a cornucopia of Thanksgiving-themed items for the harvest season, such as:

 

    • Pumpkin Crate, a chocolate pumpkin airbrushed with cocoa butter and filled with truffles in a chocolate crate lined with white-chocolate straw ($49);

 

    • A Small Pumpkin airbrushed with cocoa butter and filled with five truffles ($19);

 

    • Thanksgiving Truffles filled with cinnamon-spiced pumpkin ganache ($1.40);

 

    • Pumpkin Pie, topped with cinnamon Chantilly cream and set in a butter crust, available in both Classic and with Caramelized Apple ($36 for 8 servings);

 

    • Pumpkin Cake, featuring layers of pumpkin cremeux, amaretto bavarois, crunchy caramelized pumpkin seed croquant and a roasted pumpkin mousse ($6.20 individual, $36 for 6-7 servings, $48 for 10-12 servings);

 

    • Double-Baked Pumpkin and Almond Croissant with caramelized pumpkin seeds ($5.80);

 

    • Airbrushed Pumpkin Caramel Domes ($1.40);

 

    • Turkey Sandwich, complemented with stuffing, nuts and cranberry chutney ($10.50);

 

    • Pumpkin Latte, served with a pumpkin truffle on the side ($4.40);

 

    • Seasonal Cookies in Turkey and Pumpkin shapes ($3.50);

HALLOWEEN

 

Add a spooky — and delicious — twist to trick-or-treat bags and seasonal parties this October by handing out an assortment of Thomas Haas’ Halloween-themed items, including:
    • Assorted Halloween Treats ($1.50 each, 10 for $12);

 

    • Seasonal Cookies in the shape of bats, skulls and black cats ($3.50);

 

    • A Chocolate Jack-O-Lantern filled with a selection of 30 treats ($45);

 

    • A Small Chocolate Pumpkin filled with an assortment of 10 chocolate treats ($24);

 

  • A White Chocolate Ghost in a field of orange chocolate mini pumpkins ($39).

 

MOVEMBER

 

Once again, Thomas Haas will show his support for the Movember Foundation — a global health awareness charity committed to helping men lead happier, healthier and longer lives — by donating 10 per cent of the proceeds from an exclusive lineup of moustache-themed creations, including:

 

    • Chocolate Moustache Lollipops ($2.90 each, 5 for $13);

 

    • A Chocolate Moustache filled with truffles ($12.50);

 

    • A Whiskey Truffle Box, adorned with moustache décor ($29);

 

  • A Chocolate Torte with layers of mandarin jelly between moist sacher cake, drizzled with cognac and dark chocolate and featuring moustache décor ($6.20 individual; $36 for 6-7 servings, $48 for 10-12 servings).

 

All of Thomas Haas’ 2018 Thanksgiving and Halloween products will be available exclusively at his two locations in North Vancouver and Kitsilano for a limited time beginning Saturday, September 29, with Movember creations available during the month of November. Cakes and tarts may also be ordered online in advance for pick up at either location without waiting in line.
