North Vancouver-based brewery’s signature salted lime lager tops the charts
at the 2023 Canadian Brewing Awards
El Valle Salado Salted Lime Lager, the groundbreaking beer from La Cerveceria Astilleros in North Vancouver, was recently awarded the prestigious Gold Medal at the Canadian Brewing Awards held in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The award solidified its position as the leader in the salted lime lager category and a pioneer in BC’s craft beer scene.
La Cerveceria Astilleros, known for its innovative and high-quality Mexican-inspired craft beers, was the first brewery in BC to introduce a salted lime lager back in the summer of 2019. After refining the recipe through 42 iterations, “El Valle Salado” Salted Lime Lager was born. The brew is a vibrant and refreshing BC craft lager with a Mexican vibe. Essentially, it’s a BC craft lager base – think crisp with gentle maltiness, with an aromatic pop of real Mexican limes and a pinch of salt, keeping you coming back for more.
