Latincouver presents the Trail of Coffee: Saturday, April 20
A new immersive event offers exhibits, workshops and hands-on learning celebrating
some of the world’s finest coffee-producing regions and customs
Coffee is one of the world’s most beloved beverages, but how much do you know about how your coffee was cultivated, harvested and processed? On Saturday, April 20 at The Pipe Shop in North Vancouver, the Trail of Coffee, presented by Latincouver, connects you with coffee-growing regions through engaging exhibits, presentations, and opportunities to learn how to pick, process and brew coffee in more mindful and meaningful ways.
“Leading up to Earth Day on April 22 is the perfect time for coffee lovers to gain a deeper awareness of how this important crop arrives in our cups — and to have fun doing it!” says Paola Murillo, executive director of Latincouver, which produces many festivals and events promoting awareness of Latin culture in Greater Vancouver.
Latin countries in South and Central America are leading global coffee producers, building not only economic value but community by growing, processing, and exporting one of the world’s most beloved beverages. Coffee-centered festivals thrive in other parts of the world, and Latincouver is proud to bring this celebration of the bean to Vancouver.
Live music, food vendors, and demonstrations, including latte art and tastings will take place all day and into the evening at a favourite venue in North Vancouver’s Shipyards District. Purchase a ‘Coffee Flavour Explorer Pass’ for access to exhibitions, speakers and delicious food and beverages from the Café Bar. The ‘VIP Coffee Trail Pass’ adds access to workshops and tastings for hands-on, immersive experiences, coffee cocktails, and more.
