2022 Sauvignon Blanc (Chronos)
TIME Family of Wines
Penticton, BC
$29.99
Pale straw with medium-light intensity.  The nose is well integrated with aromas of peas fresh out of the pod, Ambrosia apple, citrus, melon, and honey.  Good balance with a creamy texture.  The palate reflects the nose followed by a medium-plus finish with pleasing flavours lingering.  This is a very versatile wine.  Serve with chicken, pork or pasta alfredo.

2020 Chardonnay
JoiRyde
Penticton, BC
$30.00
This is the second of two bottles we bought at the Wine District outlet.  The first was tasted at the beginning of 2022.  A further two years of aging have certainly helped.  Lemon yellow with medium intensity.  Toast, lemon, pineapple, minerality, coconut, and buttered toast on the nose.  Good balance with full body.  Rich on the palate with flavours of lemon crème, melon, and buttered toast dominating followed by a medium-plus finish with flavours lingering.

2022 Rosé
Mayhem
Okanagan Falls, BC
$20.97
Queen Anne cherry red with medium-plus intensity.  The nose is inviting with aromas of cherry, strawberry, watermelon, and floral notes.  Good balance.  Pleasing fruit on the palate followed by a medium-plus finish.  Made from 100% Merlot.  Great for picnics and luncheons.

2018 Pinot Noir
Wynwood Cellars
Wynndel, BC
$20.00
Where is Wynndel you ask?  It is located just a ten-minute drive outside of Creston BC, a region now home to four wineries.  Garnet red with medium-deep intensity.  Good varietal character – beetroot, blackberry, lots of black cherry, black tea, cinnamon, herbs, plum, violets, earth, and tree moss on the nose.  Very good balance.  The flavours reflect the nose along with white pepper, plum, and red currants.  A medium-plus finish.  A lovely accompaniment to pork tenderloin, roast turkey, or beef bourguignon.

2019 Syrah
Laughing Stock
Penticton, BC
$41.40
Co-fermented with 3% Viognier.  Garnet/black with deep intensity.  The nose is deep, dark, and inky with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, black currant, black tea, black olives, spice, and black currant.  Good balance with ripe tannins.  The fruit aromas carry over onto the palate followed by a drying, slightly hot (15.4% ABV) finish.  Give this one lots of time to breathe if drinking now or hold on to 2029 – 2034.
