ABOUT THIS VISA INFINITE DINING SERIES EXPERIENCE
La Spada is a love letter to Rome, a festa Italiana, a feast and a party, and an all-round good time. This osteria is a collaboration between renowned food photographer Scott Usheroff and Chef Steve Marcone; it opened last summer with all the vibrant energy and soulfully flavourful cuisine of Rome and has quickly become a favourite among all who love classic Italian fare. Chef Marcone brings authenticity from his own Roman background in dishes like fagioli e carciofi, but ventures deliciously beyond the city’s borders, too, in dishes like the squid ink pasta with lobster bisque. Guests will discover all this, plus the charming wines from Italy’s lesser-known regions, at this special dinner.
ABOUT LA SPADA
Montreal’s newest Italian gem is a collaboration between renowned food photographer Scott Usheroff (Craving Curator) and Chef Steve Marcone (The Italian Pantry, Bistro Amerigo), whose family hails from Rome and whose heart and palate are firmly rooted in the Old Country. It’s not surprising then that all the Roman classics are here—cacio è pepe, carbonara, amatriciana, vitello saltimbocca—as well as favourites from all over the Italian boot. The flavours are elevated, the vibe lively, and the setting shabby chic with blue velvet banquettes, marble statues, and evocative photos. Accompanying all this is a selection of small cuvées from Rome, Puglia, and Etna curated by Sommelier Jon Cercone.
Note: This event may have communal seating. Any changes to this event will be communicated at least 7 days prior to the event. Events run approximately 3-4 hours and venues are not suitable for young children. Please note that the food described above is a representation of the restaurant’s style of cuisine; actual dishes on the menu may differ based on seasonality and availability.
