Bard on the Beach Adds Performance to
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again]
Audiences have loved the Wild Ride Through the Bard’s Canon
Due to overwhelming demand, a final additional performance of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again] has been added on Tuesday, September 9. This production must close Saturday, September 20, 2025.
“This show has captured the joy of discovering and rediscovering the works of Shakespeare in the most unexpected ways,” said Christopher Gaze, Bard on the Beach Artistic Director. “These added performances give more people the chance to attend this hilarious and hectic celebration of Shakespeare.”
Directed by Mark Chavez, this lightning-fast romp through all of Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets has been dazzling audiences since July 1, combining irreverent humor, improvisation, and hyper-local references with pure theatrical joy. With its rotating cast—including Tess Degenstein, Craig Erickson, Arghavan Jenati, and Nathan Kay—each performance is a unique comedy adventure.
Set Designer Ryan Cormack has created a set cluttered with old props and fun easter eggs for Bard enthusiasts. Costume Designer Alaia Hamer has pulled statement pieces from past Bard productions to help bring each play to life at the production’s breakneck pace. Composer and Sound Designer Anton Lipovetsky has created a sonic world that enlists some familiar voices to enhance the audience’s experience. Additional members of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again]’s production team include Jeff Harrison (Lighting Designer), Sam Jeffery (Fight Director & Intimacy Director), Amanda Testini (Choreographer), and Heidi Wilkinson(Head of Props). They are supported by Rebecca Mulvihill (Stage Manager) and Jenny Kim(Assistant Stage Manager).
