Gala raises funds to provide clinical care for children with
life-threatening illnesses across B.C. and the Yukon

Canuck Place Children’s Hospice announced the 21st annual Gift of Time Gala presented by Nicola Wealth will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Fairmont Pacific Rim. Over the past 20 years, the Gift of Time gala has raised over $20 million to support pediatric palliative care provided by Canuck Place.

Donors, partners, sponsors, and supporters of Canuck Place will come together for a spectacular night to raise funds for pediatric palliative care for over 946 children and families across B.C. and the Yukon.

The event will be hosted by Every Conversation Counts author, Riaz Meghji, and feature an exceptional dinner, exciting live and silent auctions, and musical entertainment by Desiree Dawson and a youth quartet. Gala attendees will also be introduced to Canuck Place parents, Aishalyn and Sebastian Sayer-Czarkowski who will share their family’s story and care experience at Canuck Place.

The event at the Fairmont Pacific Rim is sold out, however you can still support by bidding in the silent auction. The auction is open to the public and closes on October 25 at 9 p.m. Gift of Time Auction (giftoftimeauction.com) to start bidding on some amazing items and one-of-a-kind experiences!

All funds raised at the Gift of Time Gala will support complex medical care through Canuck Place programs for children facing life-threatening illnesses and their families, across B.C. and the Yukon.

About Canuck Place Children’s Hospice: Canuck Place Children’s Hospice is BC and the Yukon’s pediatric palliative care provider. Learning that a child is seriously ill and may die before reaching adulthood is overwhelming for families. Canuck Place cares for over 946 children living with life-threatening illnesses and families in our hospices and through community care (in-home/in-hospital and virtual). Canuck Place operates 10 patient beds and 8 family suites through two hospices in Vancouver and Abbotsford.
