There’s a new reason to rise and shine at House of Dawn Steakhouse as Executive Chef and Culinary Director James Yang has introduced a new brunch menu that combines classic dishes with elevated contemporary fare at the popular Richmond-Brighouse restaurant located at 130-8171 Ackroyd Road.

Available Wednesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the launch of House of Dawn’s new brunch menu coincides with the restaurant’s first anniversary and offers timeless fare like a Classic Breakfast, Signature Eggs Benedict, Crispy Chicken and Waffles and French, Avocado, Seafood or Mushroom Toast as well as gourmet Handhelds such as a Dry Aged Breakfast Burger, Brisket Cheese Melt, Lobster Roll and Kobe Striploin Sandwich in addition to house-made pasta features and decadent add-ons.

The House of Dawn Steakhouse brunch menu features:

HOUSE OF DAWN CLASSICS:

  • Classic Breakfast (two eggs any style, house-smoked bacon or Ora King salmon, house-made sourdough toast, roasted potatoes, green salad or fresh fruit);
  • Cheesy Omelette (two eggs omelette with choice of smoked gouda, Gruyère or mozzarella, house-smoked bacon or Ora King salmon, house-made sourdough toast, roasted potatoes, green salad or fresh fruit);
  • Signature Eggs Bacon or Salmon Benedict (house-made Hollandaise on two poached eggs, choice of house-smoked bacon or Ora King Salmon on house-made smoked gouda scone, green salad or fresh fruit);
  • Crispy Chicken & Waffles (Gochugaru-spiced crispy chicken with two house-made buttermilk waffles, topped with house-made fruit cheong and crème fraiche, green salad or fresh fruit);
  • French Toast (Ovaltine-stuffed, double-stacked brioche dipped in roasted Madagascar vanilla crème Anglaise, topped with Valrhona cocoa powder and chocolate sauce, fresh fruit);
  • Avocado Toast (avocado two ways with house-made pico de gallo, poached egg, Pecorino Romano, balsamic glaze, served on house-made sourdough, green salad or fresh fruit);
  • Mushroom Toast (morel, porcini, cremini, portobello, shimeji mushrooms topped with pickled shallot and serrano on buttery brioche, 63 degree sous vide egg yolk, green salad or fresh fruit)
  • Seafood Toast (bay scallop, Argentina pink shrimp, bafun uni, sturgeon caviar topped with Béarnaise on buttery brioche, green salad or fresh fruit).

HOUSE OF DAWN HANDHELDS:

  • Dry Aged Breakfast Burger (7oz dry aged patty, avocado, tomato, lettuce, sunny egg, yuzu aioli on toasted sesame bun, frites);
  • Brisket Cheese Melt (slow-roasted Wagyu brisket, caramelized onion, pickled shallot, smoked gouda, mozzarella, Gruyère on house-made sourdough, frites);
  • Lobster Roll (lobster, bay scallop, Argentine pink shrimp topped with house-made dill crème fraiche, yuzu aioli, buttery brioche bun, frites);
  • Kobe Striploin Sandwich (6oz Kobe striploin, house-made oyster sauce, 63 degree sous vide egg yolk, caramelized onion on buttery brioche, frites).

HOUSE OF DAWN PASTAS

  • Fettucine Pesto (house-made fresh herb fettucine, Parmigiano Reggiano, toasted pine nuts);
  • Pumpkin Gnocchi (house-made ricotta gnocchi, pumpkin coconut brood, beurre noisette, Mascarpone, roasted kabocha squash, pepita seeds, Parmigiano Reggiano);
  • Spaghetti Carbonara (house-made spaghetti, guanciale, Pecorino Romano, house-cured salty egg yolk);
  • Ragu Ragatoni (house-made rigatoni, 48 hr slow-braised Wagyu short rib ragu, mozzarella, feta yogurt drizzle, Parmigiano Reggiano);
  • Truffle Pappardelle (house-made pappardelle tossed with truffle béchamel, porcini, morel, cremini, portobello & shimeji mushrooms, Parmigiano Reggiano, Perigord black truffle);
  • Seafood Linguine (house-made squid ink linguine tossed with sauce Americaine, bay scallop, Argentina pink shrimp, bafun uni, sturgeon caviar, Parmigiano Reggiano).

Guests can also complement their brunch experience with a variety of drinks from the bar that include espresso-based beverages and teas, house crafted sodas made with house-made fruit cheong, freshly squeezed orange or grapefruit juice and house-made hot chocolate comprising artisanal Valrhona cocoa powder and dark chocolate.

Ideally situated in the Brighouse neighbourhood of one of Canada’s fastest-growing, vibrant and diverse cities, House of Dawn Steakhouse is open Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and offers an elegant and intimate space where passion meets precision and technique meets tradition.
