Goh Ballet is delighted to announce the Principal Dancers for its 15th annual production of Goh Ballet’s The Nutcracker Presented by RBC. This year’s featured artists, Maude Sabourin and Felixovich Morante, will bring their celebrated artistry and world-class performance to Vancouver’s most enchanting holiday tradition returning to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre from December 18 to 21, 2025.

“We are pleased to welcome Maude and Felixovich to guide this year’s Nutcracker presented by RBC,” says Chan Hon Goh, C.M., D.Litt, Executive Producer and General and Artistic Director of Goh Ballet. “Their artistry and polished insight bring a distinguished depth to the production. Each performance of The Nutcracker reflects imagination, resilience, and the joy that dance continues to offer our community during the holiday season.”

Maude Sabourin, Principal Dancer with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, has captivated audiences on renowned stages around the world. From her early years with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo to performing works by Jiří Kylián, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and William Forsythe, Sabourin’s career has been defined by both artistic excellence and social impact. As founder of The Dance Lab, she uses her art to support humanitarian causes and empower women through creativity and performance.

Joining her is Felixovich Morante from Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, an internationally trained artist known for his commanding presence and technical precision. Having performed leading roles such as Siegfried in Swan Lake and Basilio in Don Quixote, Morante brings depth, strength, and emotional nuance to the role of the Cavalier Prince. His global career, spanning Peru, Cuba, and Canada, exemplifies Goh Ballet’s commitment to cultivating cross-cultural artistry and collaboration.

A dazzling display of music, movement, and imagination, Goh Ballet’s The Nutcracker continues to be a cherished favourite for families across the Lower Mainland and beyond. With sumptuous costumes, stunning choreography, and the timeless score of Tchaikovsky, performed live by members of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Leslie Dala, this production captures the wonder and warmth of the season. As Vancouver’s only production of The Nutcracker featuring a live orchestra and international guest stars, Goh Ballet’s presentation continues to unite more than 250 performers of all ages in a grand celebration of music, movement, and community spirit.

“RBC is proud to continue our longstanding partnership with Goh Ballet and The Nutcracker,” says Martin Thibodeau, Regional President, British Columbia, RBC Royal Bank. “This production represents everything we value: creativity, inclusivity, and community connection. We believe that the arts enrich communities and expose young artists to experiences that will help them grow and thrive on and off the stage.”

Audiences can enhance their experience through The World of The Nutcracker, a series of pre-show activities and interactive displays, including photo opportunities, live choir performances, a children’s dance experience, and a festive boutique offering exclusive keepsakes such as ornaments, pointe shoes signed by the principal dancers, and handcrafted jewellery.
