Mark your calendars for Vancouver Cocktail Week, March 1-8, brought to you by The Alchemist Magazine! Now entering its fifth year, the event celebrates the art of the cocktail and the hip, relaxed atmosphere where the drink thrives.

This past week, I walked into the Preview Party at Chambar Restaurant, and the atmosphere was on fire. After enjoying a Nitro Espresso Martini in the bar’s urban-chic setting, guests mingled downstairs, sipping on a selection of handcrafted cocktails from the city’s award-winning bartenders and brand ambassadors. A crowd favourite was the Pear in Mind, featuring brandy, pear simple syrup, pear bitters and Vancouver Island’s own Sanctuary Single Malt
Whisky.

Also, Gail Nugent, Founder & Producer of Vancouver Cocktail Week, shared the latest details about the upcoming event. From classic speakeasy vibes to sleek modern lounge sophistication, VCW will have cocktail lovers covered with everything from neighbourhood cocktail crawls to seminars as well as cocktail-paired tasting events.
