FROM OYSTERS TO ORCAS RETURNS FOR ITS 9TH ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

An Evening of Tide-to-Table Seafood, Live Music and Community
in Celebration of a Thriving Salish Sea
Michelin-recommended Fanny Bay Oyster Bar & Shellfish Market will once again join forces with Georgia Strait Alliance (GSA) to host the ninth annual ‘From Oysters to Orcas’ fundraiser on Thursday, February 26, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., at its flagship location at 762 Cambie Street.
This much-anticipated one-night-only event brings together ocean advocates, seafood lovers and community leaders in support of a thriving Salish Sea. Beginning at 7 p.m., guests will enjoy a relaxed, cocktail-style mingler featuring passed canapés that celebrate the bounty of BC’s local waters, freshly shucked oysters and expertly crafted cocktails.
The evening will also feature a special live musical performance by Clara Shandler, also known as the Sidewalk Cellist, whose soulful, genre-spanning melodies thoughtfully weave together social and environmental themes.
Tickets are available at a variety of price points, starting at $81, to encourage broad community participation. All proceeds from the evening will be donated directly to GSA in support of its ongoing mission to protect and restore the Strait of Georgia and the Salish Sea.
For more than 30 years, Georgia Strait Alliance has mobilized and supported collective action to ensure a Salish Sea teeming with life, where thriving and just communities live in harmony with the environment.
