BC Children’s Hospital Foundation today announced that they will receive net proceeds of every Blizzard Treat sold at select DQ® locations across British Columbia and the Yukon during Miracle Treat Day®, taking place Thursday, August 8, 2024. DQ Miracle Treat Day benefits Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® across North America, and BC Children’s Hospital Foundation is one of 13 Children’s Miracle Network hospital foundations in Canada. Participating DQ stores across Canada raised over $2 million for Children’s Miracle Network on Miracle Treat Day in 2023, including $280,676.74 for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“This year, money raised through DQ Miracle Treat Day will go to the areas of greatest need at BC Children’s Hospital. This means pediatric health care experts will have more resources to tackle the most complex health challenges facing kids across BC and the Yukon,” said Rita Thodos, Executive Vice President, Philanthropy at BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. “By treating yourself to something sweet on August 8, you have the power to make a mighty difference in the lives of patients and their families.”

DQ locations across Canada have raised over $52 million for the Children’s Miracle Network member hospitals since 1984. On August 8, 2024, nearly 700 Canadian DQ stores will be raising funds to support the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in Canada, including 123 stores located across B.C. and the Yukon.
