Free Pre-Festival Events around Vancouver

The Vancouver Folk Music Festival full schedule is now available for the three day event taking place at ʔəy̓alməxʷ / Iy̓ál̓mexw Jericho Beach Park on July 18 to 20.

“In addition to our incredible 12 Mainstage artists, we have curated three days of performances and workshops featuring 44 artists,” says Vancouver Folk Music Festival Artistic Director Fiona Black. “Performances begin at 3:00 pm on Friday afternoon with artists TEKE:TEKE, Nico Paulo and Bel & Quinn to name a few before our Evening Main Stage shows start at 6 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, the festival site opens early with our first performers taking to our stages at 10 am and performing until just before our Main Stage evening performances begin at 6 pm. Both days are a musical experience of performances by visiting artists and the return of our incredible workshop series where artists join together in collaborative sessions that often erupt into full-on dance parties. The variety and diversity of styles and genres is endless – you’ll find your jam and your new favourite band!”

The Vancouver Folk Music Festival detailed schedule is now available on the festival website with Early Bird ticket prices still available until June 18th. Individuals can purchase weekend passes or choose single day tickets for the day where their favourite artists are performing.

Adds Black, “If you’re still uncertain about joining us over the weekend festival, we are taking part in four events around Vancouver featuring folk artists with some who will be performing at the weekend festival. We invite you to come experience these incredible artists and find out why audiences love returning to the Vancouver Folk Music Festival year after year.”
