Bow & Stern Brentwood is playing host to a week full of celebratory food & drink features to mark the occasion of its first anniversary as an anchor at The Amazing Brentwood in the heart of Burnaby at #2626-4567 Lougheed Highway.

The festivities start Saturday, Nov. 1st with a Champagne Brunch Celebration showcasing Happy Hour Brunch features (Bacon Benny, Salmon Cake Benny, Pancakes or Avocado Toast) available for $15, live music and a DJ and complimentary glasses of bubbly from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Oyster aficionados can also satisfy their seafood cravings by indulging in $2 Buck-a-Shuck East and West Coast Oysters served with freshly shaved horseradish, mignonette and lemon every day from Saturday, November 1st through Friday, November 7th.

For the duration of the anniversary celebration, guests can also take advantage of 25% off any bottle of bubbly (excluding Dom Perignon) with the purchase of one of its signature ‘For the Table’ features — the Hot Seafood Platter (Arctic Char, Tiger Prawns, Atlantic Lobster Halves, Mussels & Clams, White Wine Cream Sauce, Seasonal Vegetables, Jasmine Rice) or Chilled Seafood Tower (Selection of Oysters, Jumbo Prawn Cocktail, Atlantic Lobster Halves, Tuna Tataki, Signature B&S Roll).

Bow & Stern Brentwood’s Sparkling & Champagne list includes Villa Sandi Asolo Prosecco Superiore (Veneto, IT), Saintly’s ‘The Good Sparkling Rosé’ and ‘The Good Sparkling’ (Niagara, ON), Black Hills NV Sparkling Brut (Oliver, BC) and four standouts from Champagne, France: Piper Heidsieck Cuvée Brut, Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut, Veuve Clicquot Brut and Dom Perignon Brut.

Open Mondays to Fridays from 11 a.m. to midnight and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to midnight, Bow & Stern Brentwood showcases the full bounty of ocean-inspired dining and local craft beer, wine and cocktails in a warm and intimate space that also offers an expansive patio for al-fresco dining.

Bow & Stern is a true family affair and labour of love for founders Jon and Jacki Smith, who started in the local restaurant industry in 1988 with a concept centred around a signature fish and chips recipe that remains a staple on Bow & Stern menus to this day. Jon and Jacki went on to found Bow & Stern with their son Jordan and launched their first location in Abbotsford in 2014 before opening a second location in Chilliwack in 2020. Their newest location in The Amazing Brentwood joined the family last fall, with Jordan, his brother Jake and brother-in-law Adam overseeing operations.

Bow & Stern Brentwood features twice-daily Happy Hour menus from 2 to 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close that showcase highlights like Two-Buck-a-Shuck Oysters served with freshly shaved horseradish, mignonette and lemon as well as $10 Oyster Shots (Bamba vodka, house cocktail sauce and horseradish), Baja Fish or Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos for $8 each, signature Cod & Chips or Honey Thyme Fried Chicken Sliders for $15 as well as other can’t-miss dishes and feature-priced craft beer, wine, cocktail and zero-proof libations.

Other regular weekly features at Bow & Stern Brentwood include $6 Well Highballs (vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, tequila) on Mondays as well as ‘Mussel Mondays’ featuring half orders of Mussels or Clams served with house-made focaccia bread in a choice of white wine cream, Thai green curry or Spanish tomato sauces for $12.50; $5 Draught B&S Craft Lager or Pale Ale on Tuesdays; half off bottles during Wine Wednesdays; ‘Dawn Til Dusk’ Red or White Sangria for $10 every Thursday night; and $5 Mimosas and Caesars every Saturday and Sunday until 2 p.m.
