2022 Blanc de Blanc
Fort Berens
Lillooet, BC
$39.99
Are you an ‘any day is a good day for bubbles’ person like I am? If so, you’ve got to give this one a try. This traditional method, wine is made from 100% estate grown Chardonnay and was aged ‘sur lie’ for 24 months. Lees aging, adds complexity and a creamy texture to wines. Pale lemon yellow with medium-light intensity. The nose displays aromas of citrus, Asian pear, brioche, crushed gravel and a touch of brine. Good balance and a creamy mouthfeel. Bright and crisp on the palate with citrus flavours dominating. A refreshing medium-long finish. Lovely to serve with creamy cheeses and charcuterie. Also, a delight with salt and pepper chips or buttered popcorn.

2022 Chardonnay (McLean Creek Vineyard)
Meyer Family Vineyards
Okanagan Falls, BC
$32.26
Golden straw in colour with medium intensity. Crisp apple, apricot, tropical fruit, butter, lemon, steely minerality, wet stones, and orange blossom on the nose. Very good balance. Flavourful and juicy on the palate followed by a medium-log finish. Made with a nod to Chablis? A wine with elegance and finesse.

2022 Rosé
Amulet
Penticton, BC
$26.90
Made from a blend of 55% Grenache and 45% Syrah, this wine is burnt orange in colour with medium-minus intensity. An inviting nose of cherry, cranberry, black pepper, spice, stewed plums, along with savory and floral notes. Very good balance and full body. Unctuous on the palate with well-integrated flavours. A medium-long finish. A well-made, big BC rosé.

2018 Hypothesis (Bordeaux Blend)
Culmina
Oliver,
BC
$42.99
How nice to see an older vintage offered for sale. Garnet red with deep intensity. A tight interwoven nose of red and black fruit, leaf, and earth with just a slight smoky note. Good balance with firm ripe tannins. The flavours echo the nose followed by a medium-plus finish with some drying tannins. This wine needs some time to breathe, but I don’t recommend aging it further. Serve with barbecued ribs or grilled beef.

2022 GSM
Black Sage
Oliver, BC
$34.99
This blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mouvedre is garnet red with medium-deep intensity. Lots of red fruit on the nose with aromas of cherry, cranberry, red currant, plum, strawberry, black tea, a hint of pepper, and a touch of toasty oak. Very good balance with smooth ripe tannins. The flavours reflect the nose, along with blueberries, followed by a medium-plus finish. A versatile food wine. Pair with herb rubbed chicken breast, roasted lamb or a curry dish.
