The festive lights at Britannia Village return to shine
even brighter this holiday season
More lights and more festivities kick off with tree lighting
celebration Friday, November 27th
Britannia Village is the perfect photo-friendly holiday stopover on Highway 99, set
between the mountains and the water in historic Britannia Beach. This year, it is expanding its festive lights display with new illuminated features and an even taller tree located in the heart of the historic village centre.
Set in nine carefully restored original Britannia town site buildings up to 115 years old, Britannia Village is the perfect place to visit during the holiday season. Illuminated light installations, buildings and trees festooned with twinkling holiday lights and décor, and delicious eats and irresistible shopping give Britannia Village a holiday atmosphere that will warm even the Grinchiest heart.
The season will include weekly Holiday Makers Markets on Fridays and Sundays showcasing a wide range of local artisans and artists selling creations that make perfect holiday gifts. Special events through the village will include festive-themed exhibitions at Sea to Sky Art Gallery, and delicious holiday eats and drinks from Britania Village shops like Beaucoup Bakery, Kawartha Dairy, and Autostrada.
To launch this festive season, Britannia Village will host an official tree lighting celebration on Friday, November 27th with carollers, hot drinks to enjoy, kid-friendly holiday activities, the first Holiday Makers Market, and even the Britannia Beach Fire Department’s famous vintage fire truck.
It’s a great way to kick off the holiday season in Sea to Sky Country!
