RainCity Housing Special Exhibition

RainCity Housing to Present Stories of Mental Health Challenges from
Local Community Members in Special Exhibition

RainCity Housing and Support Society and the Community Action Initiative’s New Evolution of Wise Storytelling (NEWS) Project aims to help people with lived experiences of mental health issues to tell their own stories, in their own words, as a way to help counter the myths, misconceptions, and stigma associated with mental illness. From February 27 to March 1, these powerful stories will be presented through video and audio clips it the NEWS Exhibition at 1965 Main Street in Vancouver.

RainCity Housing is inviting members of the community to this free exhibition to help celebrate and honour the brave individuals who are coming forward and sharing their first-hand stories about mental illness with the public, and to explore what it’s really like to live with mental illness and how we can help combat the stigma surrounding it.
