The Uwi Twins Fashion Label (U.T.F.L.) is proud to announce the launch of its spring/summer 2014 collection with a three-day pop-up shop experience July 4–6. Founded by the dynamic duo Reuben and Lévi Uwi, the U.T.F.L. draws inspiration from hip-hop and house music to create a line that represents urban fashion at its best.
The limited U.T.F.L. spring/summer 2014 collection is a unique and vibrant line with styles for both men and women. The collection will be available for purchase online and exclusively showcased through a three-day pop-up shop in Vancouver at 730 Richards Street from July 4 –6.
“We have taken sophisticated fashion trends, fused with street style to create a line that symbolizes our personal expression,” said Lévi Uwi, co-founder and designer. “This collection is a representation of our innate creativity, which embodies the shared passion we have for fashion and music.”
The U.T.F.L. is the Uwi twins’ second fashion venture, with their first successful creative endeavour being picked up by The Hudson Bay Company in 2006. The Uwi twins’ achievements represent their ability to persevere beyond any obstacle as they have transcended a harrowing past, escaping the 1994 Rwanda genocide at the age of seven.
“The U.T.F.L. is more than just a fashion brand, through this collection we are making a statement about using perseverance as inspiration, creating something exquisite of nothing,” said Reuben Uwi. “The U.T.F.L. is a representation of our life trajectory, using our experience as a model to motivate others to follow their dreams.”
A cocktail party for the general public will take place from 6pm to 9pm. The U.T.F.L pop-up shop hours are: July 4 from 10 am to 3 pm, July 5 and 6 from 11 am to 8 pm. For more information please visit: www.uwitwinsfashion.com
