The District Brasserie launches lunch service

Looking to try something a little different for lunch? The search is over! The District Brasserie in North Vancouver is launching lunch service for the first time this month, following extensive renovations by owner Paul Mon-Kau. According to Mon-Kau, the growing demand for the cult dining outpost’s offerings meant that extended hours were a no-brainer.

A bona fide renaissance “Mon”, he personally designed and renovated the space himself. Mon-Kau explains that guests at The District should feel like they are dining not in Vancouver, but an unquantifiable “somewhere else”, and so he tried to infuse modern European brasserie design into the updates.

The District’s menu will remain the same for lunch and dinner, and will continue to offer up its much-loved Dutch-Belgian fare. House favourites range from The Crab and Shrimp Cake to Gulf Island Mussels to the famous No.13 Burger, made from tenderloin and sirloin beef. Mon-Kau is proud to serve only Ocean Wise sustainable seafood and also works with local Vancouver suppliers like Fortuna Bakery and The Cheese Man.

The District Brasserie is now open for lunch at 11:00AM Monday to Friday and at 10:00AM for weekend brunch.
