Very pale straw in colour with light intensity.  The nose shows varietal character – grass and gooseberries with a hint of peach.  Good balance, crisp and refreshing.  Citrus and mineral on the palate with peach flavours lingering on the finish.  A good value Sauvignon Blanc. Pair with anything you’d garnish with lemon – oysters, white fish, salmon, etc.

A blend of 55% Gewurztraminer, 30% Viognier, and 15% Schoenberger.  Pale straw in colour with medium-light intensity.  A floral, spicy fruit salad nose.  Good balance with good mouth feel.  Bright fruit on the palate.  A medium-long finish with a very slight bitterness from the Gewurztraminer.  I had this with baked teriyaki chicken, baked rice and stir-fried vegetables.  Also pair with curries and Asian dishes.

Soaring Eagle Intermission

Garnet red tinged with brick and a medium intensity.  Stewed plums, chocolate and vanilla on the nose.  Good balance.  Dry red fruit and cocoa on the palate.  A medium-short finish.  This wine threw a tartaric deposit, which likely added to its softness.

Pale lemon yellow colour with medium-light intensity.  Pear and peach juice on the nose.  Good balance.  Melon, pear and peach on the palate with a citrus note on the back end.  A medium finish.  This is an easy to drink summer sipper.  Serve with light snack foods or hors d’oeuvres.

Pale straw in colour with a medium-light intensity.  Pleasing floral and tropical fruit aromas on the nose.  Off dry with good balance.  Floral, melon and spice on the palate with a medium finish.  A refreshing patio wine.  Serve it on its own or with skewered prawns, seafood, or prosciutto wrapped melon.
