Vancouver Foodster Rice Bowl Challenge

 

Welcome to the Vancouver Foodster Rice Bowl Challenge. Restaurants from all over the city were invited to enter their rice bowl creations into this challenge, most of the restaurants have created a special rice bowl just for this challenge. Each restaurant will be featuring their rice bowls on their menu from March 3-27, 2016.

Momma’s style Poke Rice Bowl

Description:. A Hawaiian influenced classic that includes a variety of fish tossed in our homestyle poke recipe which is served over sushi rice with wakame, sesame,  furikake, masago, green onions and grape tomatoes.

Siam in the City Rice Bowl

Description:  Cured chicken, water chestnuts, Thai basil fried rice with avocado green curry sauce, caramelized almond and pumpkin seeds, topped with carrots, sprouts and crunchy kale. Served with the side of salt & pepper chicken skin salad!

For our Challenges, we have 2 sets of winners. The People’s Choice winners will be selected by the public who are invited to visit any of the participating restaurants and order the Burger creations and then decide on which ones they think are worthy of winning the challenge by casting their votes.

Voting: The public is invited to order these Rice Bowl creations at the participating restaurants keeping in mind this criteria – originality, creativity, uniqueness,  traditional, non-traditional, price, value and most importantly taste. People can vote the same day after trying the creation and they can vote once a day throughout the promotion. People will be encouraged to Vote for their favourites from March 4-27, 2016

With a smartphone, customers will be able to vote from their table in the restaurant right after they have eaten the Rice Bowl creation.

We will announce the winning restaurants and their Rice Bowl creations on March 29, 2016.
