55th annual Vancouver International Boat Show running Jan 18 – 22 2017 at BC Place and Granville Island

 

Whether you are shopping for a superyacht or hoping to get on the water with a personal watercraft, the Vancouver International Boat Show, running Jan 18-22, has something for everyone. Cutwater 302 Sport Coupe boat unveil – Wednesday, January 18 @ 1 pm:

The Port Boat House is excited to unveil the New Cutwater 302 Sport Coupe. This cruiser sleeps six, has a Euro-style galley, and is perfect for fishing with its 30-gallon live well, large fish box, rod holders and sink. It is powered by twin counter-rotating Yamaha 300 HP outboards, and the hull incorporates the patented Laminar Flow Interrupter technology for smooth, positive cornering. Choose between the Northwest Edition or Luxury Edition with generator and air conditioning.

 

Reel West Coast Limited Edition boat unveil – Saturday, January 21 @ 1 pm:

Don’t miss the opportunity to see the Reel West Coast Limited Edition boat to be unveiled by M&P Marine, River Hawk and Mercury at 1 pm on Saturday. The unveiling will take place at M&P space 641, which will also be the location for an interactive social media contest where the grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to the beautiful Barkley Sound Lodge.

 

Make sure to say hello to former Vancouver Canuck, Brendan Morrison, who will be at the M&P Space from noon to 4 pm.  Morrison, who is passionate about sport fishing and boats, played for the Canucks from 2000 to 2008, and finished his career in 2012, playing centre for the Calgary Flames. You can also catch him with former teammate, Willie Mitchell, at the Vancouver Giants Outdoorsman Game on Friday where they will be dropping the ceremonial puck.

It uses a walk-around deck concept with ample outdoor space for fishing, water sports and socializing. Wide enough for two to enter at the same time, the bright, spacious cabin features lockable sliding doors and a large retractable roof that can be closed against the cold and further secured with a weather-tight canvas cover.

 

Personal Watercraft – Sea Doo SPARK

For those looking for personal watercraft toys, the Sea Doo SPARK, which will be featured at the show, is likely their best choice. It is widely regarded as the most affordable watercraft on the market. Described as playful, easy-to-ride and easy to tow with a small car, the Sea Doo SPARK is a great introduction for those just entering the market.
