Tickets to the fifth annual Brewery & The Beast go on sale Monday, May 1st at 10 a.m.
Canada’s favourite annual meat festival, Brewery & The Beast, returns to Vancouver on Sunday, July 23, 2017. Located at Concord Pacific Lot (88 Pacific Boulevard), from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., more than 50 of Vancouver and Whistler’s top chefs and restaurants are expected to sharpen their knives and cook up meat-centric dishes for ticket-goers. Partial proceeds benefit the BC Hospitality Foundation and The Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship Foundation.
“This is our fifth annual Brewery & The Beast in Vancouver, and we are so proud of how the event has evolved,” says Scott Gurney, Brewery & The Beast event organizer. “When we first started, our goal was simply to organize a fantastic food event while celebrating carefully sourced and responsibly farmed meats that are raised with genuine passion and care. Over the course of five years, Brewery & The Beast has grown so much and with so many of the top chefs and restaurants participating, it is truly a unique culinary experience. We couldn’t ask for more, and are excited for everyone to enjoy an afternoon of meat, entertainment, and quality craft beverages.”
Festival-goers can expect modern cuisine with traditional and exotic interpretations, created with a variety of proteins. There will be whole animal roasts, classic barbecue, charcuterie, and definitely something for every palate.
Returning restaurants include Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar, Hawksworth Restaurant, Homer St. Cafe and Bar, La Mezcalaria, La Pentola, Medina Cafe, Nightingale, Royal Dinette, Torafuku, West Restaurant + Bar, and Wildebeest. Some of the new restaurants this year include Anna Lena, Au Comptoir, Cacao, Fairmont Whistler, Heritage Asian Eatery, and enRoute Magazine’s Best New Restaurant in Canada recipient Kissa Tanto.
While tasting dishes of exceptionally prepared proteins, guests can quench their thirst with a selection of beverages including: Phillips Brewing Company’s legendary 35-tap “Gypsy” wagon offering high-quality craft brews; cider from award-winning Left Field Cider Co; premium wines from Mission Hill Family Estate Winery; Phillips homemade sodas; specialty coffees; and refreshing iced teas.
Brewery & The Beast proudly continues to focus on food education and strives to strengthen the connection between the consumer and provider. Founding sponsor, Two Rivers Specialty Meats, supplies chefs with the majority of proteins for the event. They work diligently to source the highest quality product from farmers and producers in B.C. and Alberta.
Tickets to Brewery & The Beast are $99.95 plus tax and go on sale Monday, May 1, 2017 at 10 a.m. PDT. Prices include all food and beverage offerings, and are available for purchase online via the event website. Tickets are limited and are only sold by advanced purchase. Brewery & The Beast is a 19+ event.
