Yaletown eatery to collaborate with international spirits company in March
The ongoing series sees a different distiller or brewer commandeer Homer St. Cafe’s bar and kitchen for a week each month, offering drink specials, collaborative menu items and ticketed tasting dinners hosted by experts from the participating brewery and/or distillery.
March’s takeover event takes place March 19 – 26. Edrington will feature cocktails and spirit flights alongside special dishes that incorporate the Scotch whiskies on the restaurant’s Fresh Sheet. $1 from each featured cocktail will go to the Whisky Wisemen Society’s charitable fund.
The event will close with a guided, longtable tasting dinner on Monday, March 26, hosted by Edrington Canadian Brand Ambassador Dan Volway. The three-course dinner will start a Scotch whisky Cutty Sark welcome cocktail, a featured spirit flight paired with Executive Chef Tret Jordan and Head Chef Chris West’s first course and a special premium flight paired with the main course. A Naked Grouse whisky cocktail will then be served with the dessert selection along with a very special after-dinner treat.
Tickets to the dinner are $85 including tax and gratuity (valued at $150).
Upcoming Takeover Series in 2018:

- May 2018: The Glenlivet Takeover
