Superflux Beer Company arrives in Victoria, BC with new full-service restaurant set to open this week

Today, Superflux Beer Company announced that its highly anticipated full-service restaurant, Superflux {Cabana}, will open to the public Friday, November 12 at 4PM. Located at 804 Broughton Street in the heart of downtown Victoria, BC, the new restaurant will offer a casual spot to socialize, an extensive food menu and an assortment of Superflux beers on tap, among other beverages. It will seat 55 guests indoors with its bar, banquet-style and table seating, as well as an additional 60 guests on its expansive patio, set to open in the spring.

The imaginative and slightly irreverent design is sure to impress guests from the moment they enter. Vancouver-based design firm Studio Roslyn brings a sense of hedonism and nostalgia throughout every element of the design in the 1800 sq foot space. From the eye-capturing indoor water feature, to the cuckoo clock that chimes on the hour to Superflux’s take on the Mona Lisa, every out-of-the-ordinary detail was thoughtfully chosen, and is sure to leave an impression.

The food menu will offer casual, approachable dishes crafted by local Chef Matthew Harvey. “We’re giving the menu a nostalgic, future-retro hotel diner theme,” says co-founder Adam Henderson. “The food will suit the overall atmosphere of Superflux {Cabana}– cool and intriguing with a bit of lavish, high-end flavour thrown in there.” Chef Matthew Harvey adds, “I’m excited to bring Superflux’s purpose to “Do Cool Shit and Bring Happyness™” to life with these playful and great tasting dishes.”

The menu will include a Burger and Fries, featuring a fresh custom-ground meat patty from {Cabana} neighbours, Farm & Fields Butchers. Guests will also enjoy dishes such as a Southern-Style Fried Fish Sandwich, Beef Carpaccio, Smoked Chicken Cobb Salad and a house-approach on a Veggie Club. Alongside the food menu will be a curated beverage list featuring 10 draught Superflux beers, a few local guest draught beers, local wine, and a limited list of house cocktails.

Led by co-founders Adam Henderson and Matt Kohlen, the restaurant is a first for Superflux, who opened their brewery and tasting lounge in Vancouver last summer. The new restaurant will be managed by Kris Przednowek and Andrea Huffman.

Superflux {Cabana} will open to the public on Friday, November 12 at 4PM and remain open until midnight. During opening weekend, the restaurant will be open Saturday, November 13 from 4PM to midnight and Sunday, November 14 from 4PM to 10PM. Seating will be available for walk-ins only, with no reservations accepted at this time. Throughout the fall and winter months, the restaurant will be open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 4PM to 10PM, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 4PM to midnight. {Cabana} will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Superflux {Cabana} will follow all Provincial Health Officer orders including mandatory proof of full vaccination and masks when not seated at a table. 1. Superflux Cabana opens tomorrow, Friday, November 12th. If you are a Victoriaite who loves discovering new places you are going to be head over heels for Cabana.

This is no gastro-pub but an elegantly appointed, upscale lounge and restaurant combining sophistication with fun loving casual.

The menu features some great items that are decidedly West Coast along with ten Superflux beer options, a few really good cocktails as well as local wine on tap.
