Tickets now on sale for highly anticipated summer event, VCBW Craft Beer & Music Festival

Interested attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets early
for the returning celebration of craft beer, food, music and art

Tickets for the annual VCBW Craft Beer & Music Festival are now on sale to the general public. Event organizers expect remaining tickets to sell out quickly, after selling over half of them during the pre-sale period. The popular event, announced last month, returns to the PNE Fairgrounds from July 9 to 10, 2022, presented by Go RVing Canada. Attendees will discover over 150 craft beers and ciders from over 100 participating breweries and cideries including Backcountry Brewing, Persephone Brewing Co., and 33 Acres. There will be live music performances on the Stanley Park Brewing SunSetter Live Stage from top Canadian artists including newly announced Missy D as well as Bedouin Soundclash, Titus Bank, Half Moon Run and Skratch Bastid. There will also be art displays from the city’s top artists and the best of Vancouver’s chef pop-ups and food trucks, including Rosie’s BBQ & Smokehouse and Jamoneria by ARC (Arc Iberico).

Tickets for this highly anticipated, sell-out event are limited with both tiered general admission and VIP tickets available to purchase May 17  at 10 a.m. PST. General admission ticket pricing starts at $30 for a one-day pass with the best value being $49 for a two-day pass. While the $49 two-day pass sold out during the pre-sale period, VCBW has added additional two-day passes at this price point today as general admission tickets go on sale. A general admission ticket includes admission to the event between 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., a souvenir tasting cup and access to all concerts (on respective day).

VIP ticket pricing starts at $75 for a one-day pass and $120 for a two-day pass. A VIP ticket provides attendees with exclusive early access to the festival with a VIP tasting hour from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., a private entrance into the venue, access to the Go RVing Canada VIP area for live music, a souvenir tasting cup, private bathrooms and access to all concerts (on respective day).

Ticket prices will increase once a tier sells out so festival organizers strongly recommend those interested purchase tickets early. Tiers have already begun to sell out as a result of the event’s successful pre-sale. “Looking at pre-sale ticket numbers, it seems like people are ready to get back to life again and VCBW is the event to kickstart it,” says Adam Bloch, president of Feaster.

Full-tiered ticket pricing can be found online. All tickets also include an RFID wristband that attendees will pre-load with money to purchase beer and food on-site.

This year, in addition to the wide array of craft breweries and cideries, attendees can expect some of the city’s best eats with a Food Truck Food Court curated by the Vancouver Food Truck Society which will include Salty’s Lobster Shack, The Real Patty Co., Cazba Restaurant, Dos Amigos Tex-Mex and Indish.

The festival will also offer a limited edition beer made in collaboration with North Vancouver’s House of Funk brewery, alongside Studio Brewing and 33 Brewing Experiment. “VCBW is a very special event for the BC craft brewery scene. We are honoured to be the host brewery for this year’s collab beer now that it’s back!” says Darren Hollett of House of Funk brewery. “This beer is a great way to bring all aspects of the festival together while giving people a taste of something they won’t be able to find anywhere else,” says Hollett. Along with the participating breweries and cideries, B.C. Ale Trail’s Tap Truck will be on-site to serve a selection of beers from additional breweries across the province for attendees to enjoy.

The VCBW Craft Beer & Music Festival will take place at the PNE Fairgrounds, 2901 East Hastings Street, Vancouver from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10. Safety and inclusivity remains a top priority for the annual festival as it welcomes everyone back.
