Ballet BC’s MOMENTUM Gala Returns June 24, 2023

Electrifying evening of music, dance and drinks in support of Canada’s leading
contemporary dance company returns to Vancouver this summer.

Ballet BC is thrilled to announce its one-of-a-kind gala event MOMENTUM will be returning June 24th, 2023 at Vancouver’s Rocky Mountaineer Station.

MOMENTUM will be an inspiring and breathtaking dance-focused evening featuring all new performances by Ballet BC company artists, led by Artistic Director Medhi Walerski and hosted by media personalities Fred Lee and Tamara Taggart. The fabulous evening will also include an exciting live and silent auction, live music, delicious cuisine from The Lazy Gourmet, along with a few added surprises and a French twist. With over 12000 square feet of stunning space in the heart of Vancouver, the Rocky Mountaineer Station provides an outstanding event venue and unique party atmosphere.

Co-chairs Julian Scott and Samantha Cunliffe and Ballet BC’s MOMENTUM Gala Committee invite this year’s guests to dress to impress as they have the opportunity to meet and mingle with Ballet BC artists and support the future of Canada’s foremost contemporary dance company.

“We are excited to reconnect with our community in Vancouver for a wonderful night of dance,” says Kim Spencer-Nairn, Managing Director of Ballet BC. “After exceeding our goal last year, this year we are hoping to raise $450,000, which will help us continue to share dance on international stages and provide opportunities for emerging arts and choreographers to develop their artistry.”

Individual tickets are $400, and Lounge Tables, which seat up 4 guests, are available for $3,000. Silent auction bidding will open in late May 2023.
