Martin Dockery’s LONG NIGHT OF THE AMERICAN DREAM

Martin Dockery’s
LONG NIGHT OF THE AMERICAN DREAM
to play Vancouver Fringe

One of the longest touring fringe artists brings a brand new play to the festival

LONG NIGHT OF THE AMERICAN DREAM is thrilled to be a part of the 2023 Vancouver Fringe. The two-person comedy/drama will be performed at the Revue Stage on Granville Island, 1601 Johnston St, from Sept 8-16 (times listed below).

Coming off a successful debut run of the play at fringes in Winnipeg, Calgary, & Edmonton, Dockery is excited to bring a riotous new show that speaks to the abysmal state of relationships within our factional society. Two brothers attempt to put on a play about two brothers attempting to put on a play as they wrestle with what it means to be a family, and by extension, what it means to be Americans. A comedy, a drama, and a wild head trip, LONG NIGHT OF THE AMERICAN DREAM is designed to keep the audience on its toes as it constantly reorients their perspectives. It’s a show that’s as funny and unpredictable as it is relevant.

As he’s toured the Canadian circuit, he’s won over 50 festival awards – though none were quite as impactful as meeting his wife Vanessa Quesnelle at a fringe in London. The two now have a five-year-old daughter who tours with them to festivals.
