Everything is Super Wow

A foot-fuelled, slapstick tragedy about bikepacking, dreaming big and giving up in your 30s.

Follow along on this kinetic solo journey filled with peppy puppets, original tuneage and awkwardly captivating dance moves.

A reimagined version of last year’s “Fringiest of the Fringe”, mr.coffeehead.

Everything is Super Wow was written and performed by ira cooper. Directed by Aslam Husain. Visual design by Ruby Arnold. Additional music by Brian Cochrane.

*Nominated for ‘Outstanding Clown Show’ – Frankie (Montreal)

Reviews

“It’s a solid showcase for Cooper’s talent for physical theatre . . . Wacky, trippy and surreal” – 4 Stars – Winnipeg Free Press

“Everything is Super Wow is unmissable” – Forget the Box (Montreal)

“…silly, strange and very endearing.” – Jenny Revue

“I was entranced by Ira’s performance, an existential journey about motivation and finding meaning. I loved the coming-to-life of his pannier and helmet – whimsical touches in a lighthearted show about the big things in life.” – Sarah Deshaies, Upstage (CKUT Radio Montreal)

Audiences have said …

“A great clown should be funny, courageous, vulnerable, and have a voice that needs to be heard. Mr Coffeehead is all of that and more.“ – Bob Frazer

“The best show I’ve seen all year…I laughed for the entire show”

“If you’ve ever wanted to see “The Graduate” meets “Pee Wee’s Playhouse”, this play’s for you. . . . It’s a challenging, tight-rope act of a piece which may not be everyone’s cup of coffee, but I loved every minute of it and still find myself mulling over the play’s themes several days later.”

“A spiritual quest…deeply relatable epic story”

“lots of laughs!”

“Great characters…engaging performance.”

“One of the best shows I’ve ever seen” – a person handing me $50 at the end of a mr.coffeehead performance.
