The Bright Young Things at The Vancouver Fringe

THE BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS:  VANCOUVER FRINGE FESTIVAL TOUR

Folding Camera Theatre is a Vancouver-based collective of emerging artists, who recently graduated from Studio 58’s professional theatre training program. The Bright Young Things was first developed as a Risky Nights project, devised by the ensemble, with Ming Hudson as facilitator. After a successful week-long run, they are back for a 2023 Fringe tour.

The Bright Young Things were a real group of young people who lived in the 1920s. They were aristocrats and socialites who threw costume soirees and treasure hunts with elaborate style and wild abandon. They chose to navigate their post-war, post-pandemic world by straddling this line between celebrating life and living a performance.
