A ‘Hunny’ of a Tea at H Tasting Lounge: Winnie the Pooh’s Hundred Acre Wood

A ‘Hunny’ of a Tea at H Tasting Lounge:
Step into Winnie the Pooh’s Hundred Acre Wood

Heartwarming weekends start with afternoon tea at The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver

The simple joy of childhood friendships beautifully merges with the elegant indulgence of high tea at H Tasting Lounge, every weekend, starting February 17 through Spring.

Following the success of its fairy-tale themed Once Upon a Time Afternoon Tea last year, the Westin Bayshore, Vancouver’s elevated lounge offers a uniquely-themed Winnie the Pooh tea experience, inspired by the whimsical charm of A.A. Milne’s classic children’s tale. It’s a favourite of Canadians everywhere, as the character of Winnie was inspired by Winnipeg, a real-life bear that lived at the London Zoo a century ago. It was beloved by Milne’s young son, who renamed his teddy bear, and in the process inspired the creation of a children’s literature icon.

Delectable sweet and savoury treats draw from the beloved fictional characters. Snack on Pooh’s Pot of Gold, which swirls cotton candy and honey crystals on popcorn kissed with burnt honey and sea salt; or Eeyore’s Blueberry Blues, Earl Grey-infused berry scones with clotted cream and preserves. Sweets include Piglet’s Big Adventure, a decadent coconut and strawberry dessert; Rabbit’s Radiant Carrot Patch cake with honeycomb dust; and the delightful chocolate, shortbread and ganache sandwich called Christopher Robin’s Surprise. Mr. Sanders’s Honey Smoked Salmon, Owl’s Treasured Terrine and Roo’s Royal Tartlet chicken salad are among the literary savouries.

Premium Champagne by the glass and the bottle, plus an array of o5 rare teas, quench your thirst for the adventures of Pooh and friends. This tea experience promises to transport you to the magical realm of the Hundred Acre Wood, as every sip and bite captures the heartwarming essence of friendship.

For afternoon dreamers, storytellers and seekers of joy, the table is set, and the tales are waiting to unfold:
