$25.00
Pale lemon yellow with medium-minus intensity. Apple, citrus, white peach, honeysuckle, and melon on the nose. Good balance. Fresh and fruity on the palate with flavours that mirror the nose. A medium-plus finish. This is a lovely après dinner wine or luncheon wine, or served with white fish or a hearty salad. Be sure to serve chilled, not cold.

2021 Gewürztraminer
Ancient Hill
Kelowna, BC
$22.90
Golden straw with medium intensity. An intensely aromatic and varietal nose showing floral, lime, lychee, peaches, mango, passionfruit, roses, and spice. Good balance, unctuous and full-bodied. The flavours reflect the nose followed by a medium-plus finish. This is a yummy brunch wine or serve with Italian sausages or Chinese food. (If served too cold, the sweet edge stands out.)

2019 Merlot (Milepost)
Intersection
Oliver, BC
$19.97
This wine has improved considerably since I last tasted it over two years ago. Garnet/black with deep intensity. The nose is deep, dark, and layered with tertiary aromas including beetroot, blackberry, black currant, black olive, cherry, chocolate, earth, spice, plums, tobacco, tar, leather, and pencil shavings. Well balanced. The flavours mirror the nose followed by a medium-long finish. This wine is elegant, harmonious, and near its peak. Wonderful with an herb-rubbed pork tenderloin.

2018 Cabernet Merlot
Blasted Church
Okanagan Falls, BC
$34.00
This wine should more accurately be labelled as Meritage as it is a blend of five grapes – Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cot Noir. Dark garnet red with deep intensity. A rich, layered, dark, inky nose with aromas of dried red and black fruit, beetroot, spice, tar, soy, leather, chocolate, and pencil shavings. Very good balance with good body. Cherry, beetroot, plum, black tea, leafy, green pepper and clove on the palate followed by a medium-long finish.
