SPOOKY SEASON ARRIVES AT FAIRMONT HOTEL VANCOUVER

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver invites guests to explore the dark side of luxury this October with a trio of spine-tingling experiences. This spooky season, the hotel transforms into a haunted haven of elegance and enchantment, unveiling three unforgettable experiences: Haunted Cellar Afternoon Tea, JINX Spooky Speakeasy, and the return of the immersive theatrical experience, Castle Confidential.
Haunted Cellar Afternoon Tea
A haunting twist on the beloved tradition, this bewitching tea service blends gothic elegance with culinary artistry. Guests are invited to savour a devilishly delicious array of seasonal savoury bites and handcrafted sweets – from a black magic tuna tartare atop a house-made potato chip, to the fig and brie tartlet laced with caramelized onions and rosemary. Decadent desserts cast their own spell, like the Midnight Burial made with milk chocolate mousse, brownie and cherries, a cheesecake with raspberry “blood” gel, and the Bewitched caramel pecan cupcake, topped with a mischievous witch’s hat.
Tea is available Wednesday to Sunday, from September 25 to November 9, 2025, with seatings at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Reservations can be made online.
JINX Speakeasy
Hidden in the shadows of the hotel’s lower lobby, JINX is Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s latest and most mysterious haunt. Inspired by the curious craft of old-world apothecaries, this speakeasy is equal parts moody lounge and magical potion lab.
Behind the velvet curtain, mixologists serve up spellbinding cocktails infused with botanical elixirs, smouldering aromatics, and a dash of dark magic – each one a tribute to the art of healing… or hexing. With whispers of the hotel’s ghostly past and artifacts from another era, JINX promises a night of intrigue, indulgence, and a touch of the otherworldly.
JINX is open Wednesday to Saturday evenings, beginning on October 1 until November 1, 2025. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are available here. Tarot card readings will be available on Wednesday’s from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Castle Confidential
The hotel’s famed 14th floor, long rumoured to house more than just luxury suites, sets the stage for the return of Castle Confidential, an immersive mystery experience in partnership with Vancouver Mysteries.
Guests will become part of an unfolding drama, engaging with costumed characters, decoding hidden clues, and exploring distinctive themed rooms while sipping on expertly crafted cocktails tailored to each setting. The evening concludes with an elegant reception with gourmet canapes on The Roof – a well-earned reward for a night of sleuthing and surprises.
