2023 Pinot Gris (Anarchy)
Mayhem
Okanagan Falls
$25.32
Golden yellow with medium intensity.  Honeysuckle, apple, pear, floral, butterscotch and butterscotch on the nose.  Very good balance with a creamy texture.  Well-integrated flavours on the palate including honey, lemon, lime, pineapple, apple, and a light hint of ginger.  A medium-long finish.  This is an impressive Pinot Gris.

2019 Chardonnay (Rebil)
Liber Farm and Winery
Osoyoos, BC
$27.99
Organically grown along the banks of the Similkameen River, this organically grown, low-yield chardonnay is aged in French oak barrels.  It is golden yellow in colour with medium intensity.  The nose shows well-integrated oak and fruit with aromas of lemon, cream, vanilla, melon, tropical fruit, and butterscotch.  Well balanced with a creamy texture.  The flavours mirror the nose followed by a medium-long finish.  Impressive.

2021 Ca del Magro
Monte Del Fra
Custoza, Italy
$24.99
Bright yellow with medium-plus intensity.  Lime, minerality, orange blossom, honeysuckle, thyme, and asparagus on the nose.  Good balance with good mouthfeel.  Weighty and full on the palate with flavours of menthol, lemons, honey, grass, pear, minerality, and green apple followed by a medium-long finish with flavours lingering.  Serve with seafood, shellfish or anything that comes from the sea.  This wine is a bargain.

2020 Summer Blush
Wynnwood
Wynndel, BC
$23.59
Wynndel is located about 10 minutes east of Creston in the Kootenays and owner Dave Basaraba has farmed a great site for 18 years.  This wine is primarily Pinot Noir with a touch of Lemberger.  Queen Anne cherry red with medium intensity.  Juicy cherry watermelon, raspberry, strawberry, rhubarb, and a hint of cranberry on the nose.  Good balance and mouthfeel.  The palate is flavourful with tastes reflecting the nose, followed by a medium-plus finish.  Lovely.

2021 Pinot Noir (Reserve)
Blue Grouse
Duncan, BC
$75.99
Garnet red with medium intensity.  A delicate nose showing aromas of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, black tea, black pepper, lavender and rose petals, with a touch of cinnamon, and cranberry.  Good balance with medium body.  The flavours follow the nose along with some forest floor notes.  A medium-plus finish with some lingering vanilla on the back end.  Surprisingly, this was a lighter wine than previous vintages.  If I had another, I’d be cellaring it for 3 – 5 years.  Only 50 cases were produced.
