Annual Lighting of the House at Canuck Place Children’s Hospice

CANUCK PLACE CHILDREN’S HOSPICE CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAYS
DURING LIGHTING OF THE HOUSE

Annual event honours children’s light and legacy

Canuck Place Children’s Hospice brightens the holidays at the annual Lighting of the House presented by CIBC at Canuck Place Vancouver – Glen Brae Manor. A beloved tradition, the Lighting of the House represents giving light and hope to over 946 children with life-threatening illnesses and the families who love them across B.C. and the Yukon.

Canuck Place dad, Delmar Lee from Burnaby, will share the story of his daughter Diana, who passed away on the Canuck Place program. Together, the Lee family will press the big red button to light up the house with thousands of lights, in honour of Diana and all the children at Canuck Place.

The outdoor event, hosted by Global BC’s Sonia Sunger, will also include festive refreshments a musical performance by the Vancouver Youth Choir; photos with Santa; acknowledgments from Canuck Place Chief Executive Officer, Denise Praill and CIBC World Markets’ Vice Chair and Head of Capital Markets – BC, Kathy Butler; in addition to the lighting of thousands of lights that will illuminate the Vancouver hospice and grounds.
