Hawksworth Restaurant Celebrates 15 Year Anniversary
with “The Origins”

Hawksworth Restaurant at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, marks its 15-year anniversary with “The Origins”, a one-night-only collaborative dinner on Wednesday, May 20, bringing together three of Vancouver’s most influential chefs: David Hawksworth, Michel Jacob, and Pino Posteraro. The evening celebrates both the restaurant’s milestone anniversary and the evolution of Vancouver’s dynamic culinary landscape.
Chef Michel Jacob, who led the iconic Le Crocodile from 1983 to 2024, helped shape the city’s fine dining scene with his exacting standards and refined French-Alsatian cuisine. A mentor to many, including Chef Hawksworth, his kitchen became a training ground for many ambitions young chefs.
Chef Pino Posteraro, former chef-owner of Cioppino’s Mediterranean Grill, helmed one of the city’s most celebrated Italian restaurants for over 25 years in Yaletown. Now serving as Culinary Development Leader at LFG, he continues to influence Vancouver’s dining scene through mentorship and menu innovation.
In 2025, both Jacob and Posteraro were inducted into the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards Hall of Fame, recognizing their lasting contributions to the city’s culinary identity.
